Jean-Joseph Chapuis ( 1765-1864) was a well-known Brussels ebenist, his designs can be found in numerous museums and private collections. Usually his works are signed/stamped. In the Musées Royaux d'Art et d'Histroire in Brussels, there is a very similar table with dolphin legs that can be clearly attributed to Chapuis
